Akansha is a fifth-year dual degree MD-PhD student at Iowa. Akansha enjoys creating her own art as a hobby, specifically using the mediums scratchboard and printmaking. Working with scratchboard allows Akansha to capture minute details and experiment with different tools to produce different textures and tones. She has made pieces to express her views on death and aging in the healthcare field as well as decreasing the women leadership gap in STEM fields.
